I Keep Saying It Time After Time,

in the UK and most other Western Countries recycling just does not economically work,

the people that blight millions of citizens lives, Town hall chiefs, were last night accused of pedalling 'spurious propaganda' after claiming that wheelie bins boosted recycling rates, the Local Government Association said it had new evidence that they 'helped produce dramatic increases in recycling rates'. the LGA - which based its claims on a survey of town halls carried out last week - said one council's recycling rate had leapt from just 4 per cent to a staggering 38 per cent after bringing in the bins, but the figures, which follow an admission from the Government's own rubbish quango that wheelie bins are not best for recycling, have been ridiculed, not only are they based on the responses of only 28 councils, the ' dramatic' rises actually took place over more than two decades and often had little to do with wheelie bins, Richard Kemp, the LGA's deputy chairman, said: 'Every council that responded to our survey confirmed that the introduction of wheelie bins helped to increase recycling rates in their area,' the LGA claims recycling rates in Harrow, North London, were 4 per cent before the council brought in wheelie bins, and are now 38 per cent, but it failed to point out that the 'before' figures are 20 years old - and that Harrow introduced the bins in 1989 - never let the facts get in the way of a good story, that sounds like me!

admittedly the above story is about wheelie bins, but if we got off of the craziness we call recycling we would not have wheelie bins - or at the most just one.
