Not Quite Henry V111,

but pretty close, is the book tipped to win this year's Man Booker Prize contenders, as you may know Diana and Myself are watching The Tudors, well Wolf Hall, by Hilary Mantel, has emerged as the hottest favourite to win the prize in the awards 41-year history, the novel tells the story of the rise to prominence of Thomas Cromwell - the Tudor monarch's adviser, Wolf Hall is the first novel by Derbyshire-born Mantel, 57, to make the Booker Prize shortlist and is a 4/5 favourite with bookmaker William Hill and 10/11 favourite with Ladbrokes, a Ladbrokes spokesman said: 'There's only one novel in town as far as punters are concerned, four British authors were yesterday celebrating alongside Mantel, after their novels made it on to the six-strong shortlist, they are Sarah Waters for The Little Stranger, Simon Mawer for The Glass Room, Adam Foulds for The Quickening Maze and former Booker winner AS Byatt for The Children's Book, the winner will be announced at London's Guildhall on October 6, well no prizes for guessing what we will be watching later tonight!
