Another For Us Early Start,

on our way out to see Kieth and Jac, we called in to The Caddy Shack for our breakfast, it is on the road that runs from Second Road opposite Soi Diamond to Theprsit, the problem is that it starts out from memory as Soi 16, then 17, then Theprist Soi 10, but it is the same road if you see what I mean,
inside it has a UK pub look to it,
Steve had the English breakfast, as did Kai and Diana, I settled for beef stew and very filling it was to,
we had a look at Kieth and Jac's new truck, just 3 days old,
I remember when mine was as clean as this, but that was 7 years ago!
they have a couple of bananas growing in the backyard,
both fruiting at about the same time, this one a couple of days earlier
than this one, the flower head has not dropped off yet,
we then continued along the Sumkivit highway until we arrived at the Pattaya Floating Market, we had driven past it numerous times but never stopped as it was always crowded with cars and buses, but today we pulled in,
it is very nicely laid out with painted arrows on the floor, so you can walk around and not miss anything,
there were lots of cafes and small restaurants,
plus boats selling food as well,
the one above had these 'black' coconuts, I have seen them before but never tried one,
of course we could not go straight past the dress shops without stopping!
the food sticks seemed reasonably priced at 5 or 10 baht, I expected them to be more,
I thought these wind chimes were great, the long piece of wood flutters in the breeze shaking the chime underneath it,
so the two pendulums move away from the body of the chime then return with a loud clunk!
there were so many souvenirs to take home,
and lots of floating food stalls,
the artificial flowers looked really nice,
even close up they looked the part,
and artificial orchids to,
food again, 5 or 20 baht per piece for birds eggs or seaweed,
you could also hire a boat a crew to take around on the water,
we did a bit of shopping here for presents for Diana to take to the Philippines in April,
a wind mill, used to power a paddle to keep the water oxygenated,
then back in the car and over to Mr. Tony's as we walked in a large orchid in full bloom was at the front door,
Mr. Tony had bought a new tree, it will be several months before the supports can be taken off,
he also has a few nice stands of bamboo,
one of the local lizards,
the girls did not bring their swimming togs,
every time we visit the gardens always look better than before, then off to the plant and flower fair.
