First Thing And Down To The Bank,

only 45.66 to the UK £, ouch!,
we use the one on Beach Road opposite the Pattaya Beer Garden, then to the market, at the back of it, parking in Pattaya Tai is always a bit of a gamble, even though you park on the correct side of the road you still get stopped and hassled,
past the shrimp stalls, shoes, dried sea foods then the vegetables,
past the flowers,
and into Pattaya Tai, parking after 11.00 in the morning is one side of the street only,
we were after some fresh fruit to snack on in the evenings whilst watching TV,
this is what happens if you park on the wrong side of the road, off to the pound! today the police had three pick ups going none stop, sorry the shot is a bit out of focus, but there was traffic everywhere,
the lychee's are getting bigger each time we buy them, but are still expensive at 100 baht a kilo,
and a few bananas,
durian is now in season, but even though I have tried it three times I still do not like it, then back through the market and home,
after a cup of tea I decided to call round to see Phil,
on the right the maid has made a nice little garden feature,
two of Phil's four Harley's,
the supercharged Von-Harley, the fast one,
with a very big back tyre,
this is the 'hero' bike, so called because it is the only one of Phil's bikes that starts and stops with no problems,
the workshop,
years ago, think pre 1960's cars and bikes were so simple, most owners did their own routine maintenance,
but now days most if not all manufactures put bits in that you need special tools to remove parts from them,
if you want to remove the Von-Harley's petrol pump in the tank you need a special tool, cost of the special tool? £200.00 plus, however take this £6.00 saucepan and a angle grinder and you are back to the days when the owner can service the car or bike if you want to, (I can see where Harley Davidson makes its profits!),
then home for a pork chop evening meal,
later Mark and Steve called by for a drink and a chat,
a few lychees to nibble on, feet up and watch TV,
we watched a few more episodes of A Year At Kew, then Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, another great boys own adventure, this time blame the Russians! the evening rounded off by two from Sherlock Holmes, both from The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes, The Problem of Thor Bridge, A governess is arrested for the murder of her employer's wife, this is a story with a very strange twist, followed by Shoscombe Old Place, a debt-ridden aristocrat may be having a mental breakdown, and his servants are concerned, then off to bed.
