Do Not Mess With Fish115

and you thought fish were fun! I am not so sure Jeremy Wade did when he caught this goliath tigerfish that was 1.5m (5ft) long and weighed 45kg (7st), the fish Hydrocynus goliath lives in the Congo river system, even small they are not very nice to handle, we supplied 6 of them to a nature group many years ago, catching them for transport saw the destruction of a few nets, we transported them in a couple of polystyrene boxes in the end, they just punctured the plastic bags we normally use too easily, but back to the fish, the prehistoric-looking monsters have been known to attack humans and even crocodiles when they really want to make a point, Mr Wade said: ‘It is, for all intents and purposes, a giant piranha, it is quite a beast, ‘The teeth on it are incredibly sharp and are about the same length as a great white shark, it also has an extremely powerful bite and has been known to consume prey the same size as itself, attack people and take pieces out of crocodiles.’ his battle with the monster can be seen on River Monsters, due to be screened on ITV next month, I just hope they put the series on DVD.
