First Thing We Went To The General Store To Do A Bit Of Shopping,

small bits and pieces for the house,
during the day Mark called by for a tea and a chat, then off to the Friday night market,
what was surprising was that we were later than last week but it was only just being set up,
I forgot to mention last week the motorcycle auction had started again, it is just opposite the bar, a friend of mine did buy a couple of bikes there, but as in any auction be careful not to get carried away and bid over the value of the object!
looking into the market from the bar more clothes stalls taking the normally empty area,
rain clouds filling the sky again, though it did not rain whilst we were there,
some of the many food stalls at the Sumkivit end of the market,
3 pairs of earrings for 50 baht, I could not resist buying a few for Diana,
back to the bar, the three people together arrived sat down taking up 3 seats, smoked two cigarettes and did not buy a drink, the good news was that a family of six a few weeks called in as before, the family bought one can of coke and shared it between them, so total sales for nine seats being taken - one coke! I also bumped into Bill, a fellow fish keeper,
Diana came back laden with fresh fruit,
then home but first to the soup stalls for our evening meal,
not so many stalls again this evening,
two chicken soups to go,
then to a crowded Walking Street, we had arranged to meet in Lollipops,
it was the owner Mark's wife's birthday, the custom over here is that the birthday girl puts on a garland, well wishers can then attach money to it so she can buy a present she wants,
there was plenty of food for all that attended the party,
we were all there with Grieg,
and owner Mark, a great time was had by all, then at about 1.30 it was time to head for home and off to bed.
