Do Not Mess With Fish140

and you thought fish were fun!

normally if you go for a swim and a fish nibbles your toes fun they are, but not if they are piranhas! that was the fate of over 100 swimmers that took to the waters in Barragem do Bezerro dam, close to the town of Jose de Freitas in the Piaui province of Brazil, they were left with bitten heels and toes after the predators attacked due to a lack of food,

a spokesman for the Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources said that the piranhas were both adult and fingerling's, authorities have attempted to control them by placing 100,000 tilapia into the water to both attack the piranhas and act as food, they hope to control the population with a further 200,000 fish being added including peacock bass in the next two months, piranha attacks on humans are rare and while they occasionally bite and injure swimmers there has not so far been a fatality involving a piranha attack, although there are some pictures of a Petrobras excavator operator eaten to death by piranhas, no one from the scientific community has agreed that happened to the guy in the pictures.
