How Heartless Can You Get?

after watching Pirates of the Caribbean,

a couple of days ago I spotted this in the news, Ronnie Ford-Kennedy and Sara Steele, 33, put the skull and crossbones flag in the back garden for Sara's son Anthony, seven, he has a form of autism called Asperger's syndrome which is characterised by difficulties in social interaction, so when he showed an interest in pirates his parents put up a flag to enter into the spirit of things,

call in East Lindsey District Council, it has go to come down, they have ruled that the family are guilty on two counts, firstly the pole that the flag is on is higher than 2 meters, well no problem there, cut it down to 6 feet, but this is the dumb bit, the second reason the family are guilty is that the flag is advertising and the family have not asked for advertising permission!

so lets get this straight, ask the council and you can advertise pirates, or do not ask and get treated like one, I guess once the permission is given there will be a rush of locals in East Lindsey trying to get into the Old Sea Dog and sign up, so the family will have to tie up the councils precious time and ask for permission, still the people of East Lindsey District Council have plenty of time on their hands to make such weighty decisions if this is an indication of the pressing matters to the local community that they have to deal with, at the next council meeting I hope permission is granted to fly the Jolly Roger,

as an aside the flag that Anthony is flying is similar to the one used by Edward England, who was badly repaid for his kindness.
