3D Art Comes To Pattaya,

I have mentioned 3D art before on the blog,

I think it is so cool so when I heard a show was in town we just had to go to have a look,

but first where is the show? it helps if you know the Palladium disco, it is right behind it, but if not coming from the Dolphin roundabout going towards Sumkivitt at the first set of traffic lights turn right, this is the road that runs behind Big C that is on Second road, go along that till you see the Big Eye sign, turn right and about 100 meters along it is on the right had side,

you can also find it on Second Road, this is the view from the front of the exhibition looking towards Second Road,

if you are coming in from the Second Road look for the Soi just past Big C which has the Pavilion Spa and Massage in it,
the front of the exhibition,

it is called Art in Paradise,

another land mark to look out for on Second Road is the soi with the Health Cruise centre in it,

the ticket office, prices are for Thai Nationals 150 bhat, for tourists 500 baht, but if you do live here and have a Thai driving license I was charged the same as a Thai national,
Diana the little angel!

as you go into the exhibition the first hall contains optical illusions, I should mention that there is no problems taking pictures here, all that they ask is that you do not use a flash, also I would mention bring spare batteries and make sure you have plenty of room on your memory card,

then the main exhibition begins, it looks just like a piece of the wall has given way to allow you to look into another room,

amazing,

Diana had to go to the bathroom as the elephant had forgotten the toilet tissue, luckily the bathroom was next door,

so all is well,

next a view underwater,

and I just had to get eaten by a shark!

Diana chose the octopus,

and who could resist kissing a dolphin?

look out for leaping whales!

Diana the little mermaid,

naturally I had to try a bit of fishing,

and pet a clown trigger fish,

which was a part of this huge mural,

and who could resist giving a cuddly polar bear a drink?

I am not sure the zebra wanted the stripes removed,

now is it white on black or black on white?

the king of the jungle,

even the archways are pieces of art,

the fish is mine I tells ya! as Popeye would say,

never smile at a crocodile,

never hold a tiger by the tail, or in this case a leopard,

'whoes a pretty boy then?' I mean the parrot,

Diana in a classical pose,

and playing cupid,

these two pictures were really weired,

as you walked past them they moved,

they gave that effect as there were in relief from the flat canvas, each building was a pyramid,

Diana in a story book,

the fire extinguisher looked so good it could have been real,

oops! nearly dropped it!

all this threshing is thirsty work,

whilst we were there,

a professional photo shoot was under way, lights,

camera,

action!

no I should have said stand still,

there were lots of pictures you could pose with,

like being crowned,

or cleaning pictures,

the exhibition then opened up into a huge hall,

but first we looked in the 'magic' room,

everything looks normal, but the floors slopes in an optical effect,

I decided to be a gentleman and save her blushes!

meanwhile Diana had to walk the plank,

we then stopped off in Ayutthaya,

 the mural was huge,

each of the walls had a different theme,

this one in South America,

we then moved onto the Egyptian exhibition,

Diana holding hands with one of the exhibits,
another huge mural,

Diana making her way downstairs,

then the ground gave way,
Diana just had to have a camel ride,

then from sand to water,

it was just like being in the Songkran festival! I have split this post into three parts, so if the next one does not follow on just click the 'older posts' button.
