I Came Across These Pictures,

whilst having my morning coffee,

they show what inventors in China and the surrounding area are up to, like 83-year-old Zhang Yongqing with a multifunctional bicycle so that care-givers can take better care of wheelchair-bound elderly people, which I thought was kind of neat,

to the strange, like this miniature submarine which is being built at the workshop of Zhang Wuyi, a local farmer who is interested in scientific inventions, in Qingling village, on the outskirts of Wuhan, on August 29, 2011, he stated 'I hope to sell my submarine as a civil product with the price of about 100,000 yuan ($15,670) after safety tests',

and not forgetting something I guess that you could call bizarre, like this walking robot that pulls farmer Wu Yulu's rickshaw,

so after conquering land and water I guess we must now take to the air, this is Wu Zhongyuan, 22, a local farmer, who sits in his self-made helicopter, in Jiuxian county, the aircraft, powered by a 150cc engine, took Wu two months to build and cost more than 10,000 yuan ($1,460), regrettably for Wu the local government halted Wu's plan to fly the helicopter out of safety concerns, but if you want to see more of these attempts of never letting lack of funds or materials let you down, have a look at some of the pictures here, you never know someone might decide to inject some funds into one of the projects.
