So On To Our Evening Out,

we have brought our evening out foreward one day early,

as this week it is both Maureen's and Diana's birthday, so we have a couple of things planned for the next few days, but glad rags on and we are out for the evening,

to Le Bordeaux which is situated in Soi Day Night 2 near the TukCom Centre,

we walked past the well-stocked bar,

into the large air-conditioned dining area,

whilst looking through the menu we were served with these amuse bouche,

after studying the menu extensively,

Diana decided on the stuffed mussels in garlic with parsley,

a medley of smoked salmon with capers for Mr Tony,

whilst I decided on this, the 890 baht gourmet menu,

so I started with the salad of the sea, consisting of scallops, shrimps and smoked salmon served with a mesclun salad,

after a suitable break our main courses arrived, Mr Tony decided on a beef bourguignon,

whilst Diana decided on a spaghetti carbonara,

so she was all smiles with that choice,

for myself going with the set gourmet menu I had the Australian Mulwarra steak, with a extra portion of sauté potatoes,

'Cheers!', from all of us,

apart from the excellent food on the starters and main course menus Le Bordeaux has arguably one of the finest dessert menus,

Mr Tony and Diana shared this one, delight profiteroles, containing orange sherbet, covered with hot chocolate and Grand Marnier,

meanwhile for myself this was the dessert included in the gourmet menu,

which was described as chocolate cake running with vanilla ice cream, as you can see beautifully prepared and presented,

I decided to add the ice cream to complete the Sun in the centre of the plate,

it was so delicious I had to eat every last drop of sauce,

and I do mean every drop!

we were then served with some complimentary chocolates to round off the meal, if you are ever looking for a place to go with an extensive menu which is reasonably priced in pleasant surroundings Le Bordeaux is the place for you, but remember it is closed on Wednesdays, meal finished we made our way home and watched a few episodes of Pickers amongst other programs, then after saying our goodbyes to Mr. Tony as it was now late we were off to bed.
