The First Saturday Of The Month Has Come Round Again,

so it is time to complete some maintenance on our aquariums,

for this one just a normal water change,

 which is easily done,

this one was not quite so simple I decided to clean the gravel, so using the hosepipe I took out dirt from the gravel into this blue container we then emptied,

after breakfast I had arranged to meet Steve at the Punch and Judy as we had not met for some time,

after catching up on the local gossip we then said our goodbyes as Steve prepared to ride into the sunset on his multicoloured motorbike,

our next port of call was the market, this stall selling fresh chicken seemed to be very popular,

whilst waiting for Diana a took a picture of this palm tree as it seeds were now becoming ripe,

if memory serves after the seeds turn to red they then start to change to black and fall from the tree,

we had to stop by the fresh prawns stall as these were on our menu for this evenings barbecue,

and naturally look longingly at the dress shop opposite the market,

my attempt to light the barbecue did not go quite as well as last week,

as clouds of smoke billowed up and down the street,

but eventually all went well with the underside of the charcoal glowing a nice cherry red,

I had thought of getting the telescope out this evening, but before we even started cooking our food some clouds started rolling in,

garlic bread, prawn kebabs, marinated chicken and onions with garlic were on our menu for this evening,
so after getting the fire going was Diana's turn to start cooking,

first our garlic bread which we then followed with prawn kebabs which Diana had sprinkled with garlic,

I decided on a slight change, rather than having tomatoes at the end of the skewer Diana change them to pineapple,

and very nice they were too,

then like a scene from Birds three or four these Greater Indian Hill Mynah birds, (Gracula religiosa intermedia) decided to take up residence on the electrical cables outside our home,

after a break Diana put the marinated chicken on the barbecue,

which with the onion bonbons and garlic bread was delicious,

 'Cheers!',

then with the crash of thunder the rain started,

so much for tonight's moon gazing, in a matter of moments the front yard was awash as water rushed into the street,

before we went inside Diana said that she would like to watch Fracture, we had both watched the film before and found it fascinating not only for the plot, Ted Crawford, a structural engineer in Los Angeles, shoots his wife and entraps her lover, He signs a confession; at the arraignment, he asserts his rights to represent himself and asks the court to move immediately to trial, but also the executive toys which featured in it,

to round off the evening a few more episodes of season 4 LA Law, all of which we enjoyed immensely, then for us we were off to bed.
