Third Saturday Of The Month,

so it is time to do some maintenance the aquariums,

so drain about 30% or so of the water out,

and then replace it with fresh water from the outside water tank,

although the water is chlorinated here, keeping the water in the outside tank allows the chlorine to evaporate,

making it safe to use for the fish, I just hope they appreciate all of my efforts! also today I am giving the outside plants some fertilizer,

then it was glad rags on, we normally have a romantic candle lit bar-b-q for two on a Saturday, but tonight we decided to have a meal in town,

we took a walk along Second Road then to Walking Street it's self, but whilst on Second Road we both thought that Top Gear had come to town as a procession of firstly two Lamborghini's came past with a Ferrari following at the rear, it was a shame that it all happened so quickly I did not have time to get my camera out,

 but on to Walking Street,

this is where we were heading, the Lobster Pot,

for the set course platter for two,

naturally Diana fancied a lobster, 'I want that one!', a great line from Little Britain,

but then a change of mind for a really fresh one,

 we walked past the aquarium,

to the restaurant entrance where we noticed this early photograph of the Lobster Pot,

strange thing that I was here in 1986 and the chances are that I actually ate here then,

things have changed a bit since then,

we were quiet early and lucky enough to get a table over looking the sea,

but it was a bit too cloudy for a nice sunset,

Diana ordered a coconut cocktail, whilst I had the house red wine,

another look out to sea, but still no red sky at night,

we also ordered a couple of starters as well as the platter,

tom yam goong, a prawn spicy soup,

as well as some deep fried prawns in the foreground,

 'Cheers!', from both of us,

the main course arrived, with a portion of rice in the middle,

it was huge, as an aside you can order chips instead of rice to accompany the platter,

the crabs seemed to be larger than normal this week too,

after a long break, well we were full to bursting our desserts arrived, a banana split for Diana,

and a Neapolitan for myself,

then a little bit of theater,

the table next to us had ordered some Irish coffees,

it was a great show watching the waiter pour burning liqueurs into the coffee mugs,

then hot water added and they were good to go, or I should say drink,

yet another wonderful meal at the Lobster Pot, so if you fancy a seafood supper in the street give it a try, but if you want a seaside table try to arrive before say 7.00 in the evening,

 then motorbike taxi's home,

but there was only one bike so I sat on one of the taxi drivers chairs to wait when I noticed this on the other side of the street,

look carefully behind the sign that says Harem,

there is a worker there fixing the other side of the sign,

no safety rope, crash hat or health and safety flip-flops!

then home and feet up to watch one from Poirot,

The Adventure of the Italian Nobleman
Poirot investigates the murder of an Italian count who was also the employer of Miss Lemon's new boyfriend. He soon learns that the victim was being targeted by a blackmailer.
then for us we were off to bed.
