Our Last Day In The Philippines,

started with us taking a look at the roof top restaurant of the hotel we were staying at,

and very nice it looked too,

though to be honest I prefer eating at street level,

it had a nice view looking towards Fields Avenue,

and the SM shopping mall,

well then I just had to put the camera in panorama mode,

we made our way along Field's, past a few stalls that had already opened,

the balloon sellers becoming a regular sight,

a lot of the shops still not yet open,

we had decided to walk along the Philippine Walking Street,

a mobile coconut stall was doing a brisk trade,

like the Pattaya Walking Street it looks so different during the day,

and this was where we were going, back to Kokomo's, for our breakfast,

I missed this before a nice little pool with some fish,

we sat at the front of the restaurant watching the world go by,

I enjoyed the chill so much the last time here I ordered it again, Diana went with a Filipino dish,

breakfast over we were off, shopping,

at the SM mall,

where we were treated to a drum playing group,

it was all part of a 1 day sales promotion,

I have top say they were extremely good, just look at the concentration on this drummers face,

did I mention the sales staff? I think they were selling mobile phones,

as we were flying tomorrow we checked that the flight times had not changed as Tigerair has a office in the mall,

then another show, a keep fit performance,

the participants had to keep in time with the performers on the stage,

and there were quiet a lot of them,

looking at the coloured shirts in the crowd, I guess they were teams for some of the retail outlets here,

next stop we called over to have a look at the land Diana's family had bought,

the back part of the first building has already been started,

the plan is to have one small and two medium sized dwellings on the plot,
the plot is 300 square meters in size, but as you can see there is a lot of work to do!

back on to the tricycle for a ride to the hotel,

then a change of clothes as we  were all out for a meal at the Oasis Hotel,

all nicely laid out,

we had arrived a bit early,

but soon all of the family had arrived,

Donna, Sandio and Diana,

Joe and Diana's father,

and we meet Kevin for the first time, Dioshane's boyfriend,

Diana's sister Diosalyn and her daughter little Daisy,

then it was time to look at the menu,

the happy couple Sonny and Dang,

'Cheers!', from me,

onion soup for Joe,

mushroom soup for myself,

followed by mango prawns,

with a steak for my main course,

Diana's father chose the baked salmon,

Filipino food for Diosalyn,

Diana's mum also decided on a steak for her main course,

and very nice all of the food was too,

Diana took some pictures of some of the dishes,

and of the dinners, Donna who by the time you are reading this will have started her new job as an accountant in Qatar,

Kevin and Dioshane,

little Miss Daisy,

Joe,

and again the happy couple,

and of course the lovely Diana,

with Sandio,

I almost forgot the desserts,

banana splits,

which made someone very happy!

Joe popped over to say Hi to the resident piano player,

then it was time to go,

for all of us it was time to say our goodbyes, our flight leaves at 08.00 in the morning so we have to be at the airport a few hours before that, so it was a sad moment for all of us,

as it was still quiet early we made our way to Walking Street for a night cap,

well maybe a few nightcaps!

we were spoilt for choice,

so many bars to chose from,

there are also lots of food outlets.

if you fancy a snack whilst out wandering,

we then made our way back to the hotel, having one for the road in Camelot where we stayed in the hotel there some years ago,

and Joe being a magician could not walk past the Miss Magic bar without calling in!

then for our last drink in the Philippines, Pony Tails,

it was by now past 02.00 in the morning, so just a few hours sleep and we will be on our way home.
