First Thing We Were Off,

to go shopping,

we decided on Big C Extra for a couple of reasons,

firstly they always seem to have fresh ducks in stock as we wanted one for tomorrows Sunday lunch and the also have a selection of Australian lamb that we also buy and freeze for Sundays,

but I guess the best reason is that there is a Swensen's there!

Diana chose the seasonal ice cream,

I stuck with the strawberry tower,

  Ta-Da!

ice cream and shopping finished it was a quick dash to KPK which is just behind Big C to pick up some sausages,

on the way both to go shopping and on the way home the bike developed a slight wobble, air was needed, so a quick trip to the bike shop,

arriving home a bit of maintenance on the aquariums,

I gave both of them a 30% water change,

which for some reason brought out the yabbies looking for food,

the same water change with the large fish,

and a good feed made them hyperactive,

back to the aquarium with the smaller fish in it, we have two each of both red,

 and blue yabbies,

they seem to get on,

and occasionally we get to see what happens when they meet,

they do actually have eyes, but they seem to find their way around by touch and as soon as these two did in a flash they both accelerated backwards away from each other,

instead of our usual Saturday evening bar-b-q we decided on an Indian meal with some of the food we had frozen from our last meal so over to Country Favourites, it is located on Soi Bon Kai, opposite the Holiday Garden Resort and Baan Laksee,

some things are better fresh, so we ordered some poppadom masala, chicken samosa and nan bread, I decided to wait for the food to be cooked rather than have a home delivery as it was just a couple of items, but when ordering food keep in mind that everything is cooked fresh so be prepared for a bit of a wait, but it did give me the opportunity to have a chat with the owner and have a walk along the road, nearby there is a 20 baht shop,

opposite that there was this house with a pond in front of it,

with a couple of guys fishing in the pond,

2 people fishing but, including the one out of camera, 7 rods,

there were a couple fishing at the side of the pond as well,

the local cat hoping for a catch,

the view from the pond with the Country Favourites on the right,

and Cozy Resort in the distance,

the fishermen had by now a few people watching to see if they were catching anything,

I made my way back to Country Favourites, the staff busy cooking away,

and here we are at home, a candle lit romantic evening meal,

for a starter we had ordered poppadom masala, the last time it was one huge one but we were told that today they were smaller, so we were given two small ones each, they were just as delicious as the last time,

we had also ordered some chicken samosas,

to go with the onion bhajis we already had,

what a feast! some people say that all Indian food tastes the same, well not here from Country Favourites, each dish had it's own unique and distinctive flavor, delicious,

again we listened to music from Bhupen Hazarika, what a talented man he was,

'Cheers!', after our meal we chatted the night away, thankfully no rain this week, after going inside we watched another from Waking the Dead, then as the midnight hour approached we were off to bed.
