As Regular As Clockwork

 the bug-men arrived,

the company always calls the day before the visit,

to arrange a time to call, and as always arrive just before and no later than the agreed time, it is hard to believe but our 1 year contract is now up, so on their next visit we will sign up for another year,

also in the morning Mr. Tony called round for a chat, after saying our goodbyes to him the heavens opened up, although there was not  a huge amount of thunder it just did not stop raining until the early evening and even then there was the occasional shower, still it will save me from watering the plants tomorrow!

most days if we are not going out this is my breakfast and evening meal, a single piece of rye bread topped with in this case smoked salmon, but every meal Diana varies the topping, ham, tuna, egg mayonnaise, chicken, turkey, you get the idea, all of the toppings finished off with tomatoes and cucumber slices, well today is the first day of the toppings consisting of our home grown tomatoes and nice they were too,

after our evening meal we settled down to watch The Four Feathers, a rousing boys own tale, set in 1875, it follows a British officer who resigns his post when he learns of his regiment's plan to ship out to the Sudan for the conflict with the Mahdi, his friends and fiancée send him four white feathers which symbolise cowardice, the film follows his attempts to prove them wrong, we followed that with another couple from the Boardwalk Empire and then we were off to bed.
