We Had A Quiet Day Indoors,

but in the evening it was party time!

Jack Levy was having a huge party for his 60th. birthday and here is the party boy with his hands full,

we started to make our way around the party area and found one of the roasts being prepared,

and signed the party book,

and bumped into ace fire fighter Mikey who we had not seen for years,

then Heavens Above, it was Patrick,

all was going well on the drinks front,

the same for the food preparation,

we then found the second roast,

a huge piece of beef,

more food being prepared on the other side of the drive way,

there was seating for 200 or more people,

and later in the evening it was all needed,

as the tables started to fill in front of us Barry Upton was talking to,

Dr. Ian Corness who amongst many other talents writes for the Pattaya Mail,

going back to Barry for any one that does not know him not only was he a member of Brotherhood of Man, he also produced The Nolans hit 'I'm In the Mood for Dancing '89' amongst others and the good news is that he will be playing later this evening,

we had also earlier bumped into Ron and Bmi who joined us for the evening,

the the food was ready and good it was too, Diana made at least two trips to the bar-b-q!

then it was show time, with Barry Taking the stage,

joined by a drummer and bass guitarist,

Barry hard at work, though in truth he was enjoying himself singing so much,

and this was a nice touch, Barry had brought along a bag of children's tambourines, so after a bit of instruction, all of the kids joined the band,

now this is what you call forward planning, Jack had arraigned for both the Heineken girls,

and the Tiger girls to make sure everyone was topped up, what a shame I was not drinking as we were on the bike!

meanwhile back on stage Barry was belting them out,

like this one from the Brotherhood of Man, the 1976 Eurovision Song Contest with 'Save Your Kisses for Me', the song eventually sold six million copies worldwide and is still the highest selling Eurovision winner ever in the UK, it stayed at No.1 for six weeks and earned them a platinum disc, it also ended up the top selling single of the year and is currently one of the top 100 selling songs ever in the UK and great it was too, Diana recorded this, it all went so well until the last few seconds,

we then had an unexpected table guest,

I am not sure what he was but he would just not keep still,

it may be that the nearly full moon, (it will be full tonight) brought him our,

then it was time to cut the cake,

one big blow and every candle was out,

much to the delight of everyone that was there,

it was then time to leave, we thanked Jack for his overwhelming hospitality, what a huge and enjoyable party and after saying how much we are looking forward to his 90th, we were on the bike for home, then feet up for a vodka or three, a couple of Midsomer Murders and we were off to bed.
