Straight On To Today's Post,

as first thing we are off to immigration,

after breakfast we were off into town, Diana to the market, myself off to the dentist,

as usual I went to Dr. Chanis, almost opposite the Friendship supermarket,

the tooth was cemented back into place, but the charge had risen, from 200 baht to 300 baht, well nothing stays the same forever, crossing the road I noticed a customer in the new part of the Friendship store,

so crossing the road I then called Diana to meet me outside the store,

 whilst waiting for her,

I could see that customers were going in and out so it was definitely open,

and looking upstairs was stocked, so we went in to have a look, downstairs there are a number of kitchen utensils plus most of the ingredients you need for cooking, flour, flavourings, fillings and food dyes, upstairs more kitchen utensils and packing to put food and drinks in, plastic and paper cups, plates and moulds for jellies, on both floors there was an impressive array of electrical goods, ovens, blenders and food processors, although open a number of members of staff were still busy unpacking boxes and filling some of the empty shelves, so for any aspiring cooks out there this wing of Friendship is definitely worth a look,

next stop shopping finished was the coffee stall, a ice tea for Diana and a ice coffee for myself, later in the afternoon Mark called in for a coffee and a chat we also looked over some of the new stamps I had added to my collection,

after our evening meal a comedy, Johnny English, not to every ones taste but we found it funny,

we were going to watch one episode of Inside Claridge's, but it was so good we watched all three of the episodes on the DVD, basically a film crew were given one years access to the hotel both from the guests and hotel management's viewpoint and captivating it was too, from the manager down to the doorman the professionalism and dedication of the staff, many of them working there for 20, 30 years or more, was awesome, the amount of background work to keep the rooms at 100% and the guests happy has just got to be seen to be believed, it was first broadcast in 2012, I am not sure how well it was received then, but we are so glad that we bought it, a great way to round off the evening, I just wish we could stay in one of the suites there and have a afternoon tea, but at the price of a small family car for one night we will give it a miss, as it was nearly midnight as the last episode finished and we were off to bed.
