Today Some Street Art,

from Brussels,

here are some from a whole series of illustrations that you can spot whilst walking around the town,

the Comic Book Route in Brussels is a path that takes you along roads, paths and walkways passing buildings throughout the inner city of Brussels as well as the neighbourhoods of Laeken and Auderghem,

where large murals of some of the most popular characters of Franco-Belgian comics are painted such as Tintin, Smurf, Asterix, Lucky Luke, Gaston, Gil Jourdan and lots more,

Belgium has a long history of comics and artists that draw for them, some 700 comics authors and artist in just Brussels alone puts the capitol in the top league in this art form,

one of the earliest popular Belgian comics was The Adventures of Tintin, by Georges Prosper Remi, better known as Hergé, which was published in 1929, which I guess we all know, but back to the walk it is a great way to see the capital and with over 50 murals on the walk a lot to keep everyone amused.
