We Started The Day,

by going shopping,

 to Friendship,

where the new wing is well and truly open,

on the way back we stopped off for a ice coffee and a ice tea, next to the stall there is this one selling dried meats with a surprising lack of flies,

arriving home the first stinky cactus flower had closed,

the second one was now open, it is a pity they only last for a day, but there it is,

some more of the air plants were flowering,

like this one on an extended stem,

 these the more 'normal' ones,

putting on a nice show,

in the evening it was glad rags on, and time for wedding presents,

we meet up with Jim and Cher in the Sportsman Pub and Restaurant in Soi 13,

but first our evening meal, Diana and Jim started with Satay, Cher with soup of the day which was pumpkin,

 for myself bacon wrapped shrimps,

 lasagne for Diana,

 spaghetti bolognese for Jim,

Cher and myself went for the poached salmon,

 'Cheers!', from all of us,

 on to the desserts,

apple pie with ice cream and custard for Cher,

 sticky toffee pudding for Jim,

and Diana,

a selection of cheeses for myself,

 'Cheers!',

we finished the meal with some Irish coffees,

but with amaretto instead of whisky,

 then it was presents time,

 Diana was so excited,

and the knot was not being cooperative,

 first one opened,

 wrapped in bubble wrap,

 a beautiful picture frame,

 three of them,

 each one,

 in a different format,

 along with a card,

that had the kindest words inside,

many, many thanks Jim and Cher,

the food was excellent and very good value for money, we spent the evening chatting away,

finally leaving at nearly midnight, the time just flew past, we said our goodbyes and caught a yellow and blue cab home, then a couple from Judge Judy and we were off to bed.
