today this little beauty,
little being the operative word, at full size the bigger of the sexes, the male, weighs in at just a tad over 6 grams! it is the fiery-throated hummingbird, (Panterpe insignis), 23 year old photographer Jess Findlay took this picture whilst
shooting in the Talamanca Mountains in Costa Rica, it looks so beautiful in the
sun light, but is was no easy task to capture the beauty of this bird, it took
several hours of patiently waiting for the fidgety bird to settle for a split second
to make the shot,
