Day 10,

in the morning,

it was time to decided which husky to buy,

they both looked so nice,

overnight the temperature had fallen,

now down to minus 17° centigrade,

sunrise,

it appears to be early, but the sun rises late in the morning,

another walker on the lake kindly took our photograph,

one of the ice bicycles,

with the forest mirrored in the window of the cabin,

the main building,

it was getting brighter,

and there were a few more people out and about,

we walked past the main building,

to the road,

past the ice cave,

and decided to take a walk,

no cars or lorries for miles,

not the place you want to break down,

then we were off in a coach,

as the sun really started to rise,

we were off to a trekking center,

snow shoes on,

and we were off,

on the right hand side a ski slope,

there was strange effect in the sky,

that gave the sky a pink look,

now that is what I call a Christmas tree!

Diana wrapped up against the cold as we all were,

a break in the snow reveled a mountain stream,

and that strange pink sky again,

weird,

we crossed this bridge,

and started going uphill,

and down dales,

as the sun climbed,

I have to say for me it was heavy going,

but it was so enjoyable taking photographs as we went,

well we enjoyed it anyway,

we carried on walking,

through the trees,

laden with snow,

when we caught up with a straggler, we had fallen behind as we were taking so many pictures, he looked at his watch and said we were exactly 59 minutes into the 4 hour trek and he was going back,

we agreed to turn back as well, it was heavy going,

we decided to go down the ski slope rather than go through the forest, I was the first to fall down the slope,

followed by a laughing,

screaming Diana,

we made it back,

to the visitor center and waited for the others to return,

we then went to the next lodge for lunch,

and nice it was too,

a help yourself buffet,

with lots of fruit as well,

back to our cabin,

it was still snowing, Diana just loves catching the snow,

as evening approached,

we made a move to the restaurant,

where tonight we had moose steaks with rice,

followed by cheese and biscuits,

back home I had a night cap,

which we then followed with a few games of cribbage, then for us we were off to bed.
