today we were off out,
to see two very good friends of ours Mick and Pauline, we decided to have lunch at the Miller and Carter in Pickhurst Lane, Hayes in Kent,
we all had starters including baked Cheddar mushrooms,
and cold cuts,
followed by steaks,
and what a selection to choose from,
a quick pose, then eyes down and tuck in,
on to desserts, chocolate brownies,
and crème brûlée being the favorites,
I have know Mick and Pauline for over 35 years, since when he was in the fire brigade in fact, we chatted the afternoon away,
in the evening Steve had invited his sister around for meal,
prepared by the girls,
'Cheers!',
and what a lovely meal it was, after a night of chatting we said our goodbyes, and for all of us we were off to bed.
